With the commitment from top level management, all the way through to the workers on the job site, each employee at ASPE understands and recognizes that safety is every individual’s responsibility – embodying the Incident & Injury Free approach to safety.

ASPE employs a full-time safety & training director, as well as utilizing an outside independent safety consulting group, to ensure that our safety goals are being met. Our staff has the ability to train and is certified in the following areas:

  • AWS Certified Welding inspectors
  • NCCCO Accredited Practical Examiners; Signal person & Rigger I
  • NCCER Trainers; Core Curricula, Safety, Ironworker, Welding, Management, & Industrial Coatings
  • OSHA Construction Outreach Trainers for 10 & 30-hour courses
  • Certified Forklift Trainers

As a matter of course, all new ASPE employees go through the following training and procedures:

  • E-­Verify
  • Pre-­employment physical and drug testing
  • PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
  • Signal Person
  • Rigger
  • Boom Lift/Scissor Lift
  • HAZCOM
  • Fall Protection (company policy is 6’ tie off)
  • Connecting
  • Multiple Lift Rigging
  • Controlled Decking Zone (CDZ)
  • Precast Erection
  • OSHA 10hr
  • Forklift Training (as required by job function)
  • First Aid/CPR (Mandatory for Superintendents and Crane Operators; open to all others)

ASPE utilizes both random and post-accident drug testing to ensure our company safety culture is being maintained.
